Our Mission
Buffalo Bayou Trail Coalition is driven to ensure the preservation of the Buffalo Bayou Habitat and Natural Trails.
We advocate for the sustainable multi-purpose use of the trails.
The trails must be enjoyed by all, for this generation and those to come.
Our FOCUS
Southern banks of Buffalo Bayou
The “Anthills” is a 4-5 mile trail system in the natural forested area immediately south of Buffalo Bayou that extends from Wilcrest Drive to Eldridge Parkway. The trails are used extensively by many local and further afield residents in a variety of ways (e.g. hiking, nature enthusiasts, running, birding, dog walking, yoga, mountain biking, picnicking, photography, introducing kids to nature, family walkers, those seeking mental well-being in nature, etc.). All natural path trails are on land that is owned by Harris County Flood Control District.
